The latest Lego Ideas set just went up for sale on the official Lego store, and fans of cheese and crackers will be delighted. The 1,038-piece Wallace & Gromit set is available for pre-order on Lego’s official website. Based on the duo’s appearance in 1995’s Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave, the pair ride their iconic motorbike with its attached sidecar.
Both Wallace and Gromit are poseable, with jointed arms and, in Gromit’s case, ear flaps. The set also includes Easter eggs referencing other films, such as Wallace’s crackers (an homage to the first film, A Grand Day Out), a diamond (from the second film, The Wrong Trousers), and a yarn ball (from the third film, A Close Shave). For those who don’t recall A Close Shave, it follows Wallace & Gromit as they uncover a livestock-theft racket and meet Shaun the Sheep. They ride this red motorcycle throughout the film. The Wallace & Gromit Lego set costs $99.99 and will ship on Oct. 1, 2026.
What is Lego Ideas?
Lego Ideas competitions challenge fans to submit their own builds based on a prompt, with the grand prize winner having their concept turned into an official Lego set. The creator receives 1% of total net sales of the product, 10 complimentary copies of the set, and is credited on official materials.
The Wallace & Gromit Lego set is based on the grand prize entry from the Lego Ideas ‘90s Throwback – The Next Chapter competition, held on Feb. 7, 2025. The goal of the ‘90s Throwback competition was to submit sets related to iconic shows, movies, and more. The main runner-up was a Mr. Bean-themed set, while the other sets with the most votes were based on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Forrest Gump, and The Mighty Ducks.
In other Wallace & Gromit-related news, series producer Aardman Animations recently showed the first trailer for its next project, Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu. Based on this first look, it seems inspired by the seminal novel Don Quixote. It’s coming to Disney Plus in 2027. Aardman also has Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom scheduled for Sept. 18, 2026.
