These earbuds from SoundPeats feature new 12mm dual-magnet drivers and DynamicEQ technology, along with a redesigned fit for more comfort and better bass. The POP Clip 2 are SoundPeats’ second-generation clip-on and open-style wireless earbuds. They boast an upgraded acoustic architecture with improved ergonomics for more comfort and better environmental awareness.

Open-style earbuds are growing in popularity with music lovers who commute, work and exercise while still wanting to stay aware of their surroundings. However, the first generation of open-style earbuds often lacked sufficient bass and power.

To counter this, SoundPeats decided to redesign its earbuds to create an open-ear experience with a “fuller and more enjoyable sound” while still being comfortable enough to wear all day. Founder Jason Yang emphasizes that open-ear listening shouldn’t compromise comfort or musical impact. The POP Clip 2 earbuds focus on a fuller and more engaging sound with a lightweight fit for extended wear.

SoundPeats claims this results in a richer bass, greater dynamic expression and a more balanced sound signature than found on typical open-ear and clip-on designs.

For an improved listening experience, the new earbuds have a higher maximum output than previous SoundPeats clip-on models. This includes a 6.8 dB SPL increase over the Clip 1 and a 3.2 dB SPL increase over the POP Clip, enhancing presence and impact in open-ear listening.

The POP Clip 2 earbuds don’t try to replicate the isolation of traditional in-ear earbuds. Instead, they embrace open-ear listening, allowing users to remain aware of their surroundings while still being able to enjoy a fuller and more immersive music experience.

Each earbud weighs approximately five grams and features an updated U-Bridge structure with a skin-friendly coating for improved comfort and stability across a wider range of ear shapes.

Sound quality is important, but not the only factor. SoundPeats says it has refined every aspect of the earbuds’ design with long listening sessions in mind. Each earbud weighs around five grams and features an updated U-Bridge structure with a skin-friendly coating for improved comfort and stability across various ear shapes.

The open-ear clip-on design reduces pressure in the ear canal, making the earbuds ideal for extended workdays, commuting, walking and other activities where users want to stay connected to their music and surroundings.

For a better user experience, the new POP Clip 2 replaces touch controls with physical buttons. This provides a more precise operation and reduces the chance of accidental presses when exercising.

Either earbud can be placed in either charging slot, with automatic left/right channel assignment once the charging case is closed.

A fully charged pair of earbuds provide up to 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. The charging case extends that figure to 42 hours, offering enough power for a week of normal use. When time is short, a quick 10-minute charge delivers up to two hours of playback, making it easy to recharge before heading out.

The POP Clip 2 has upgraded wireless performance with Bluetooth 6.0 and Multipoint Connectivity. This allows seamless switching between two connected devices such as a smartphone and laptop. Additionally, the earbuds support LDAC and have Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, enabling higher-quality wireless playback on compatible devices.

The SoundPeats App lets users customize EQ settings and apply OTA firmware updates. Other new features include AI-powered call noise reduction, boosting voice clarity during calls. Privacy Mode minimizes high-frequency sound leakage in quieter spaces, for more considerate listening in shared environments.
