Halloween reaches the world of Pokopia with an array of event items and special Pokémon

With spooky season just around the corner, many video games have already announced their annual Halloween events, giving players a sneak peek at what's to come. Pokémon Pokopia is following this trend for its first Halloween. Players will be able to celebrate the spookiest festivity of the year in Pokopia with a themed event, which will run from Oct. 17 until Nov. 1.
Pokémon Pokopia has hosted events in the past to celebrate all sorts of special days. The last event was Fetching Scales for Feebas, which ran in August, giving players an opportunity to collect water-themed furniture to celebrate the first part of Pokopia's expansion pass and a free update. These events are great fun and allow players to break out of their usual in-game routines as they work to unlock special furniture and Pokémon.
Pumpkaboo leads Pokopia's Halloween event

Pokémon Pokopia's Halloween event begins on Oct. 17 at 5 a.m. — when the in-game day resets (or earlier for players who time-travel using System settings) — and it ends on Nov. 1 at 4:59 a.m. To start the event, players have to talk to Pumpkaboo, who will be standing in front of the newly decorated Pokémon Center. This Pokémon has an array of Halloween-themed goods that players can trade for, but to do this, they must get their hands on the event's currency: candy.
To get candy, players must make use of Zorua's Camouflage ability, which will allow them to transform into a nearby object. They will need to transform into an item that is beloved by Pokémon and will attract their attention. As the Pokémon approaches, players have to jump out and surprise it. This Halloween trick will grant them candy.
It's possible to build a habitat for a special Pokémon using the Halloween items available at the Pokémon Center during the event. With the right combination of items, players will be able to summon Gourgeist, Pumpkaboo's evolution. Having these two in town will truly add a spooky vibe to the place.
