Earlier this month, pop-rock singer-songwriter Bonnie Tyler died at the age of 75. The Welsh artist remains beloved throughout the United Kingdom, and since her passing, her songs and albums have appeared across an expanding roundup of national charts.

Many artists experience one especially large posthumous surge before activity begins to quiet down. Tyler’s catalog is behaving differently, as each week appears to be busier than the last as listeners continue to mourn her. This time around, the outpouring of support brings the late superstar to one ranking for the first time and produces another pair of new bestselling albums.

Another compilation, The Ultimate Collection, reenters two purchase-only rankings across the Atlantic this week. In both instances, the compilation comes within two spaces of its previously-established peak on the two closely-related lists.

Bonnie Tyler Has Charted Seven Titles on the Downloads List

Tyler has now sent seven projects to the Official Album Downloads chart throughout her lifetime and since her passing. She first reached the ranking in April 2019 with Between the Earth and the Stars. Heaven and Hell remains her only top 20 title on the tally. “Total Eclipse of the Heart” brings the late singer to the Official Streaming chart for the first time. Her career-defining smash – the largest gainer in the weeks since the tragic news spread – debuts at No. 49 on the ranking, which looks only at the most-streamed songs throughout the U.K.

The power ballad also becomes a top 40 hit on the country’s main songs tally again. “Total Eclipse of the Heart” reenters the Official Singles chart and can be found at No. 29.
